EDU 2022 Projects


Project 1:    I created my own personal home page on the web! From this page I have links to websites that I think are great for other soon to be teachers and students, my email, my resume and more. I posted my web page to the Eastern Illinois server using WinSCP file transfer.

Project 2:   I posted my resume, using a format from EIU Career Services that was provided to me. I saved it as a .pdf file, using Adobe software. I posted the file, just like I posted my index page and linked it to my index page.

Project 3:  I created a hot list page of web sites that I find interesting and useful. I have them organized into different categories and each site name is linked so that with one click users can be taken to the site! I have sights for teachers, students, and others.

Project 4:   I took some time and explored the web to find a website of a current teacher that I found interesting. Technology is      important in schools today and many teachers are utilizing it in their classrooms. The teacher that I found created a web page for her Kindergarten class and included a parent's page, a kid's page, and more.

Project 5:   I created a personal page about me with pictures of my friends and family on it.                  

Project 6:   I chose a curriculum theme based around the polar bears. I made some bulleted points about polar bears and the threats to  them.  I also evaluated the World Wildlife Fund website and explained its accuracy, content relevance, currency, design and navigation, and additional resources it provided.
                 

Project 7:   I used my curriculum theme idea and made a concept map to illustrate the ideas I wanted to get across about polar bears.

Project 8:  I found some mathematical data about how stable our polar bear populations are. I used Microsoft Exel to make a graph representing this data.

Project 10:    I evaluated a WebQuest that related to my curriculum theme of polar bears. I also created a link to the WebQuest on to  my curriculum theme page.

Project 11:    I used Audacity Software to create a podcast explaining the importance and extent of my curriculum theme. I added music to the background to my podcast and created a link to my podcast at the beginning of my curriculum theme page under my essential question title.
