This
chart shows the population of polar bears in eighteen of the areas in
which polar bears currently reside. These areas include:
Greenland, Barents Sea, Kara Sea, Laptev Sea, Chukchi Sea, Southern and
Northern Beaufort Sea, Viscount Melville, Norwegain Bay, Lancaster
Sound, McClintock Channel, Gulf of Boothia, Foxe Basin, Western Hudson
Bay, Southern Hudson Bay, Kane Basin, Baffin Bay, and Davis Strait.
The chart came from information off of the WWF website.
This second chart also shows the
polar bear population. However, this chart shows that in these
particular eighteen places 33% of the polar bear population does not
have enough data to have a clear representation of the population, 28%
of the population is stable, 28% is declining, and 11% of the
population is increasing. The information on this chart also came
from the WWF website.
